What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept checks, cash, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Anytime purchase is made or an appointment / session is booked, your credit card will be kept on file with a merchant processor named Paragon Merchant Processing. Once they receive your credit card, they "tokenize" it meaning they send your card information to a big computer warehouse where many millions of other credit card from individuals all over the world are kept and your card data is essentially turned into a number than can be accessed by the merchant processor anytime. This is an even more secure process than encryption. We do not keep any of your credit card on file on any of our computers, iPads or cell phones. All of your true credit card information is not even kept by first and second line employees at Paragon Merchant Processing -- they only know how to access your card information by the unique number you card has been given.
How can I be assured the credit card information I give to you to be kept on file is safe?
As stated, once we input your credit card into our 3rd party scheduling and booking software, it is sent directly to a merchant processor named Paragon Merchant Processing. Once they receive your credit card, they "tokenize" it meaning they send your card information to a big computer warehouse where many millions of other credit card from individuals all over the world are kept and your card data is essentially turned into a number than can be accessed by the merchant processor anytime. This is an even more secure process than encryption. We do not keep any of your credit card on file on any of our computers, iPads or cell phones at 5th Line Movement and Fitness, nor does our scheduling and booking system, Wellness Living. All of your complete credit card information is not even kept by first and second line employees at Paragon Merchant Processing -- they only know how to access your card information by the unique number you card has been assigned. Additionally, each year we are required by an oversight group to complete and pass a Processing Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards. Compliance Questionnaire.
What should I wear to my lesson or class?
Please wear clothing that is comfortable and allows you to move through a full range of motion with your entire body. Leggings, yoga pants, jogging pants are all great choices. If you choose to wear shorts, please ensure they are longer in length (about to your knee) as you will have your feet in straps and we don't want anything exposed that shouldn't be. Women wearing a jogging bra must have some sort of shirt or tank top over their bra.
Tops or bottoms with rivets, buttons or zippers are not allowed as they may damage the equipment upholstery. Instructors will not allow you on equipment if you wear something that could damage the upholstery; however, in the event you wear something that the instructor does not readily catch and the upholstery of any piece of equipment is damaged, you will unfortunately be responsible for covering the cost of any repairs or re-upholstery necessary.
For best neurological feedback Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Exercise are normally done barefooted because it gives your body much better feedback about what is going on as you move. If you are not comfortable barefoot, you may wear socks, but they must be freshly washed, clean socks. We socks with individual pockets your toes fit into and that have anti-skid grip on the bottom. (We sell ToeSox in the studio soon in case you forget yours, or just can't resist the beautiful design of the ToeSox I've chosen. We've got you covered, literally.)
Can I have my phone with me during my lesson or class?
For all intent purposes, no -- unless you are expecting an important call you must take. We teach mind-body methods of exercise which require your mind to be present, focused and in sync with your body, all of which is hampered by the presence of a telephone. Additionally, our studio is very small and telephone conversations are disruptive to other clients. If you must have your phone with you because you are expecting an important call and it does ring, you will be asked to exit the studio and conduct your conversation in hallway.
What do I need to bring to my lesson or class?
Bringing a non-breakable water bottle is strongly encouraged. Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis exercise opens and re-hydrates a liquid matrix within your body called fascia. When your body is tight and inflexible, this liquid matrix essentially dies up into "beef jerky" which can lead to pain and injury. you will therefore need to increase your water intake, particularly right after class as well as throughout the rest of the day.
How do I book a private lesson, duet lesson or class?
Click here. This will take you to our Schedule and Booking page where you will find important information about how to book classes and appointments (privates and duets). At the bottom of the page is a button that will take you directly to our Web-Based Schedule and Booking software. After setting up an account you will be able to book classes and/or appointments.
What is the difference between a semi-private (also called a duet) and a class?
Duets or "semi-privates" may only be purchased by two family members or two people who have a close relationship with one another as each person of the duet is completely dependent on the other regarding scheduled classes and being able to take class as opposed to having to forego class, or pay for a private because of the other person's inability to attend. Specifically: if the other person is not able to attend and has given more than 24 hours notice, you will be contacted by 5th Line and have the option to forego the class until the other party is able to resume attending; or you may elect to keep the scheduled time, but pay the private session rate for the level of instructor you had scheduled to teach the session. If you choose to continue with the booked time and pay for a private session, the amount you paid for the duet will not be applied to the private session and you will still have the same number of duet lessons left on your account as the other person you signed up for the duets with. If the person you are scheduled to have the duet with cancels less than 24 hours in advance, they will be charged the full price of the session due to short notice cancellation. In this case you may come to class and only pay the duet price. You will also be signing a contract specific to a duet purchase in which you will agree to the terms specified above.
A class is different in that it consists of up to three people who may or may not know each other and whose attendance or ability to attend class is not dependent in any way by others signed up for the class. You may attend class anytime it is scheduled, regardless if everyone shows or only you show up and you will always only pay the price for class.
Are restrooms and/or changing areas available?
There are separate men’s and women’s restrooms just down the hall from us. The studio itself doesn't have changing rooms available, so unless you plan on using the restrooms to change, please be sure to show up wearing the clothes you intend to workout in. Please read the FAQ section under the “Studio” tab in the menu at the top of the page for appropriate clothing and prohibited clothing.

Do you offer discount packages for established clients?
Yes! Pre-paid packages of 5, 10 or 20 sessions may be purchased at a discounted price. The more lessons you pre-pay for the greater the savings.
Do you offer military discounts or dancer discounts?
Yes! We offer a 10% discount to all active and retired military members AND their spouses who book a session or class with a Certified or Senior Instructor. Please contact us prior to purchasing anything so we can request roof of military affiliation (unless you have been previously provided proof) and you will be given a special code to use when making purchases.
Professional dancers receive a 10% discount when booking with a Certified or Senior Instructor. Again, please call us prior to purchasing anything so we can discuss the company you are currently dancing with, your position with them, and our verification of your standing with them. If everything is good, we will give you a special code to use when making purchases.
Note: Neither the military nor the professional dancer discounts can be used with the purchase of retail goods
or New Client Specials, which are already heavily discounted, but do apply to all other services and package plans.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Once again the answer is yes! Gift certificates are a popular year-round gift for birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and as a way to say thank you or tell someone you love you appreciate them. Gift cards start at $10 and go up to $500. They are easily purchased online in our schedule and booking system (see tab in the menu at the top of the page to enter the system) by clicking the "Store". You will be able to say to whom and from whom the card is and write a special message if wanted. The gift certificate will be sent electronically to the recipient, or you can choose to print it and give them a paper copy. If they lose the paper copy we can always reprint them a new one by looking up your purchase.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Our cancellation and rescheduling policy details are in the Terms and Conditions you will read and sign when you create your profile in our schedule and booking system. Essentially it is a 24 hour notice policy with conditions needed to book and keep standing appointments (a appointment that recurs on a regular basis), booking appointments up to several months ahead of time, and COVID.
